Bullard Stays On Top In Money Game

Johnny Bullard once again leads the way taking gross honors with a 71 and also leading his team to first place in the team event with a team net of 71. On the net side it was Randy Light leading the way with a well crafted 69. Jimmie Thompson who was Bullard’s partner in the team event with a 71 followed him in second, finishing third was Dudley Olds with a 72 and fourth went to Chris Martin with a 73. In the team event the team of Bullard/Thompson finished first followed by the teams of Chris Martin/Olds and Light/Homer Fraley tying for second with 74’s. There where three skins on the day each shared by Bullard with an eagle on seven, Roy Martin with a birdie on six and Light with a birdie on fourteen.

Johnny Bullard and Wes Morrow combined for a 70 to take the top spot in the gross event. In the 1st Flight the team of Wendell Williams and Gary Paikowski carved out a nice 65 to win the net event. They where followed closely by the teams of Cathey/Cathey and Acker/Foster who posted 66 to tie for second. In the 2nd Flight the team of Bill Ross and Justin Mayhew shot a 65 to take a one-stroke victory over the teams of Clark/Avard and Booth/Roberts. The teams of Acker/Jennings and Rennie/Johnson tied for 4th place posting a 68.

Bullard Back On Top In Money Game

Johnny Bullard has back-to-back birdies on holes 3 and 4 enroot to a 75 to claim top honors on the gross side of the money game. On the net side it was John Jennings with an excellent net 66 to claim the top spot. Jimmy Thompson lands in second with a 70, Doug Olds and Homer Fraley tie for third with net 71’s and Don Taylor and Dean Hall tie for 5th with 72. In the team event Jennings and Fraley combined to net 70 to take first place. Bullard and Tom Rennie combined for 72 to take second. The teams of Randy Light and Olds finish third and Cogburn and Olds finish fourth. Bullard and Roy Martin lead the way in skins claiming two each of the eight skins. Whitfield, Olds, Light and Fraley claim one each of the skins.

Wendell Williams Shines In Money Game

Wendell Williams shoots 78 to take a one shot victory over Don Campbell to win gross in the Money Game. On the net side Randy Light wins in a playoff over Homer Fraley and Louis Cameron as they all carded 72. Fraley took second and Cameron third in the playoff. Don Cogburn takes fourth, Campbell places fifth and Whitfield finishes sixth. In the team event Cogburn and Fraley win in a playoff over Williams and Don Taylor as they matched scores of 75. To finish out the team event Whitfield and Jimmie Thompson place third and the team of Campbell and Bill Cowan finish fourth. There where five skins out with Williams claiming his with an eagle on hole seven, Bullard, Campbell, Cameron and Fraley made birdie to claim their skins.

Team Fraley Wins 19th Anniversary Scramble

In a surprise upset the team of Homer Fraley, Mike Pruitt, Kevin Courson and Joe Maglio shoots 54 net to upset the favorite team of Roy Martin, Johnny Bullard, Louis Cameron and John Jennings who posted a 55 net to finish second. The Fraley team also took home the only two skins of the day with a birdie on hole twelve and an eagle on hole fourteen. The team of Fulton, Barker, Marr and Williams finished tied for third with the team of Morrow, Johnson, Cletus Miller and Booth with a net 56.

Bullard Leads Money Game

Thanks to a birdie on twelve Johnny Bullard shot a two under par 70 to take low gross. On the net side it was Rhett Blackwell coasting to victory with a nicely done 64. Other finishers in the low net where Baze and Whitfield finishing tied for second with a 69, Williams and Light finish tied for 4th with matching seventies. Thanks to Bullard’s 70 the team of Bullard and Martha Baze shoot a combined 70 to beat the team of Blackwell and Reggie Marr by one stroke to finish first in the team event. The team of Light and Lee combined to shoot 74 for third and Whitfield and Tatchio finish 4th with a 75. There were seven skins in play with Whitfield garnering two of them to lead way. Whitfield claimed his two skins with birdies on holes fifteen and eighteen.
